 EAST SURREY N GAUGE

The club and its history

Membership

Annual membership costs £12.  In addition, there is a charge of £3 for each meeting that you attend to cover the cost of the hall and refreshments.  Any profits from the meetings and other events are reinvested into the club and its layouts.

We are a group of railway modellers working to N-gauge standards (9mm gauge track).  This is a scale of 1:148 (British) or 1:160 (European and American), approximately 2mm to the foot.  We also have an interest in Nn3 narrow gauge models.  We meet in Redhill and our logo represents the main lines passing through the junction.

Meetings and exhibitions

We meet on the first Thursday and third Wednesday of every month, at Earlswood Baptist Church hall, Redhill (map).  Members bring their models to run on a modular circuit.

We hold an annual exhibition, usually on a Saturday around Easter time.  In recent years, this exhibition has been held at the Methodist Church in central Redhill.

We are always looking to exhibit our layouts at other exhibitions. These are mainly local, but in recent years we have made an annual pilgrimage to the N-Club International show in Stuttgart.
